Our Philosophy: Fewer, Better

We believe a formula should earn every ingredient in it. PlayOn Muscle Aid is built from a short, considered list — nothing added just to pad a label, nothing left in out of habit.

Every ingredient is there because of what it brings to the sensory experience: the way it feels on skin, the way it settles into a spray or a roll-on, the way it fits into your ritual before, during, or after you move.

 

Our Signature Ingredients

Three ingredients sit at the heart of both PlayOn formats — carried forward from a long tradition of sensory botanicals, brought together in a combination that's entirely our own.

Menthol

A cooling, tingling sensation on contact — the kind of brisk, fresh feeling people have reached for in balms, rubs, and rituals for generations.

Clove Oil

Warm and spiced, clove has been valued in traditional sensory preparations across cultures for centuries. Here, it adds depth and a gentle warming note to the experience.

Cinnamon Oil

Rich and grounding, cinnamon rounds out the sensation with warmth that lingers pleasantly on the skin.

The PlayOn difference: Menthol, clove, and cinnamon have each been used on their own for a long time. What's unique to PlayOn is the combination — a specific balance of cooling and warming notes, calibrated to a particular intensity and fade, that you won't get from any single ingredient alone or from a different ratio of the three. That balance is the result of years of refinement by our founders, not a stock formula.

PlayOn Muscle Aid Spray

Ethanol · Menthol · Clove Oil · Cinnamon Oil

A fast-drying, lightweight formula. The ethanol base carries the sensation on quickly and evaporates clean — no residue, no rubbing required. This is the more intense of the two sensory experiences, suited to anyone who wants a strong, immediate hit of cooling and warmth.

PlayOn Muscle Aid Roll-On

Water · Phenoxyethanol · Carbomer · Ethylhexylglycerin · Sodium Hydroxide · Glycerin · Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder · Disodium EDTA · Ethanol · Menthol · Clove Oil · Cinnamon Oil

A water-based gel formula with Aloe Barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice powder folded in, giving it a softer, milder sensory profile than the spray. Glycerin adds a smoothing, gliding feel on application. This makes the Roll-On a good option for anyone with more sensitive skin, or anyone who prefers a gentler, more controlled sensation with easy, targeted application.

[Compliance note — IMPORTANT: "good option for anyone with more sensitive skin" is a cosmetic formulation/comfort claim (softer feel, milder sensation), not a medical or dermatological claim, and should be fine to keep at this soft, comparative phrasing. However:

 

Why the Combination Is Ours

Individually, menthol, clove, and cinnamon are well-known. Combined at the wrong ratio, they can feel harsh, one-note, or fade too fast. PlayOn's formulas are the result of testing and refining that balance — enough menthol for a clean cooling opening, enough clove and cinnamon to carry a warm, rounded finish, held in a base built for the way each format is used.

It's a simple ingredient list. It's not a simple formula.
